January is done for another year and it feels like a long time since I last did a monthly round-up (it was, the last time was October, oops!). This year definitely felt like a new start for me and if I’m honest, I enjoyed January more than I have in previous years. I started a new job and set my goals for 2017 which I have been working on already.
So, what did I get up to in January? One of the first (and most important) things to do in 2017 was to order a new bed as my old one was basically falling apart. January seemed like a good time to find a new bed with all of the sales going on so we went to Dreams to find a new bed and we fell in love with the bed we’d chosen more or less straight away – it arrived this weekend and is honestly like sleeping on a marshmallow!
I dusted my trusty camera off, ordered myself a new tripod and some new props and starting working more on my YouTube channel. I really want to focus on enjoy blogging and making videos again this year which will hopefully mean producing content I’m proud of.
I also booked my main holiday for this year which I am really looking forward to as going to New York honestly feels like so long ago now and the promise of some nice views and exploring somewhere new is something that was definitely needed.
My boyfriend and I decided a while ago that this year we would like to go to Croatia which as a country has appealed to me for a few years now, it looks absolutely beautiful. We booked to go to beautiful all-inclusive resort in Pula which is a seafront city known its Roman ruins, stunning beach-lined coast and protected harbour.
During January I’ve also been loving the new Salted Caramel Hifi Bars from Slimming World – they are heavenly.
I’ve been dancing around my bedroom to the new releases from Ed Sheeran, I can’t wait for his new album.
I always find January a bit blah TV wise as a lot of the programmes I watch tend to go on a break but this year I found some new TV shows. I was very late to the party on The Missing – my boyfriend and I watched season 1 in a week after we watched season 2 at Christmas. We also started on Blindspot which is a crime drama series based in New York, it’s one of those TV shows which you can easily binge watch as you need to find out what’s next.
Overall, January was a very good month for me and I am excited for everything I have planned for February – a baby shower for one of my best friends, a weekend in London and more.
